Kundalini Tantra (system) is a set of scientific practices to awaken the dormant energy coiled at the base of the spine in the Muladhara chakra. It is a dormant potential in every being that needs to be awakened to release the energy locked in the realm of matter and take it towards the highest level of consciousness.
When kundalini is unawakened, it is a potential energy. Once awakened, it becomes the kinetic force that enables total awakening and illumination. In the Yoga Shastras and Tantras, there are innumerable esoteric practices to awaken this force. Dakshin Marg Tantra employs mantras, sadhanas, Yoga, mudras, locks, and other satvik modalities. At the same time, the Vaammargis/Kaulachari Tanta system has adopted and successfully implemented a different set of practices.
Energy, as the kundalini Shakti, also known as kula shakti, ascends from the lower energy centers, known as chakras, towards the highest point of awareness through the central passage called sushumna marga.
Tantra is a system intended to facilitate enlightenment for the practitioner; this word has been misappropriated to have only sexual references, which is grossly inaccurate and seriously undersells it, and in many ways taints it. Tantra is much more profound and will transform the practitioner completely in unimaginable ways. Immersing oneself in Tantra will result in a complete spiritual awakening. Our Modalities come from the yoga system and the Pure form of Tantra.
